Graduate Courses for Teachers
For nearly fifty years, the Freedoms Foundation has presented critically-acclaimed, accredited graduate courses for teachers. Our summer programs feature visits to historical sites, led by noted historians who provide vivid insight, interpretation, and perspective on the events and people that shaped American history.
Freedoms Foundation continues to work on the summer graduate program for 2013. We plan to announce details in November at the National Council for the Social Studies annual conference in Seattle, Washington. Until then, below is a sneak peak at what we plan to offer. Details soon….

Program Information:
- Tuition is $1,400 per person, per program. $700 is due upon acceptance, with balance at beginning of the program.
- Tuition covers accommodations, admissions, tour transportation, instruction, and one graduate credit hour. Meals are not included. Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the program as well as the transfer from the airport to the hotel.
Scholarships:
- Through the generosity of the MJ Murdock Charitable Trust, scholarships are available for qualified teachers from the following states: ALASKA, IDAHO, MONTANA, OREGON and WASHINGTON.
- Financial assistance and scholarships are available for teachers from other states, also on a first-come, first-served basis. Please contact the Freedoms Foundation's Education Office at (610) 933-8825 ext. 292 for more information.
Accreditation:

Each tour program includes one graduate credit hour, which is granted by Immaculata University (www.imaculata.edu) in Pennsylvania. Enrolled students who wish to earn either two or three credits must pay $100 for each additional credit at the beginning of the program.
