Robert Fredette, 2020 Leavey Recipient, is a business education teacher at Lamoille Union High School in Hyde Park, Vermont. Bob has been teaching for 12 years. He brings his real world experience as a health club manager to his classroom where he currently instructs Financial Independence, Accounting and Lancerships courses. It is his Lancerships program for which he is being honored.
In 2018, Bob began an entrepreneurial adventure with 9 students experiencing the complete business startup process from product idea to development to sales. In its first year, Lancerships saw the creation of 3 businesses. Today, the program has grown to more than 20 students per semester operating 8 different businesses from t-shirts to Lancer bars.
Outside of the classroom, Bob is an avid sports fan and has coached baseball and football.
