The day began with Pat Allen from the Veterans History Project. He spoke about how his interviews with veterans honor the service of those men and women.

Justice Sharon Kennedy, Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court, spoke to the students about why it is important to be an engaged and responsible citizen and why it is important to understand the Constitution.

Judge Patrick Dinkelacker spoke about what we need to know about the Judicial System.

The students participated in activities related to the Constitution – educating them about the connections between the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, the expressed powers of Congress, and the Electoral College.

Students were challenged to respond to the Bill of Responsibilities, which encourages engaged citizenship.

The students then toured the Warbird Museum, learning about military life during World War II.
