Presented by the Freedoms Foundation, Service Learning in Public Policy is an advanced leadership development program for high school achievers who want to be catalysts for positive change in their world. The week-long program, which will be held July 17-22, 2022, at the Freedoms Foundation’s Valley Forge, PA, campus, will include:
- Meaningful service-learning opportunities
- Public policy courses and discussions
- Leadership development and communications workshops
- Presentations and discussions with college admissions officers to help students prepare for the college application process
Class Selection
Students are invited to attend the program through a nomination from their school (such as a teacher, guidance counselor or principal) or a community leader. Selections are based on the following criteria:
- Students in 9th, 10th, or 11th grade who show leadership potential and a desire for community service
- Strong academics (minimum 3.5 weighted GPA)
