History Encounters

WE INVITE YOU TO "STEP INTO HISTORY.”

History Encounters Educational Travel Program for Elementary, Middle, and High School Students takes school groups on a journey to the places where our country was founded. This is your chance to learn from experts and experience history and civic engagement in a whole new way!

MEET OUR NATION'S CIVIC HEROES

Imagine your students learning to minuet from George Washington, discovering
scientific principals with Thomas Jefferson, forming an artillery brigade with Ned Hector, or learning about letter writing with Abigail Adams. At the core of History Encounters evening program, nationally recognized historian actors bring their characters to life and present students with the opportunity to engage some legendary Americans in conversation and activity.

“I think it helps them make that connection between their school book and what’s actually happening…it’s a real building; it’s a real place; these are real people.”-
