Essays by Freedoms Foundation Board Members
on American National Character

 

Two members of the Board of Directors at Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge – Dr. William B. Allen and Dr. Rogers M. Smith — were recently invited to submit essays for the American National Character & Civic Friendship Project sponsored by Villanova University’s Matthew J. Ryan Center for the Study of Free Institutions and the Public Good.

Dr. William B. Allen is a Visiting Scholar in Conservative Thought and Policy at the University of Colorado Boulder for 2018-19. He is emeritus dean and professor at Michigan State University and member of the Board of Directors of the Ryan Foundation.

Dr. Rogers M. Smith is Christopher H. Browne Distinguished Professor of Political Science at the University of Pennsylvania and President-Elect of the American Political Science Association.
